Pernes les Fontaines, situated in Vaucluse, is the town of fountains.
More than forty fountains of all kind can be found in the village. Moss-covered, sculpted, colossal or smaller, fountains started being built from the second half of the XVIII° century.
Walking in the village, you will discover the 40 fountains as well as the cultural heritage and the charms of Pernes les Fontaines, accompanied by the soft murmur of water.
You will also pass by some beautiful Town Houses from the XVII° and XVIII° centuries, the Notre Dame gateway (remains of the ramparts), the dungeon of the ancient castle of the "Comtes de Toulouse", the covered market from the XVII° century, the Ferrande Tower where there are still some wonderful frescoes...
